Missing Teeth

We offer a range of solutions to help restore your smile and confidence. Whether you’re missing a single tooth or several, our experienced team will guide you through the best options.

Causes of Missing Teeth

There are several reasons why people may lose one or more teeth over time.

Common causes include tooth decay, gum disease (periodontitis), injury or trauma, and genetic conditions that affect tooth development. Poor oral hygiene and lifestyle habits, such as smoking or an unhealthy diet, can also contribute to tooth loss.

Understanding the cause of missing teeth is the first step toward finding the right solution to restore your smile and protect your oral health.

When it comes to addressing missing teeth, Pelago Dental offers a range of dental solutions tailored to each patient’s unique needs. These include:

A long-lasting and natural-looking option that replaces the tooth root and supports a crown, bridge, or denture.

Implant-Supported Dentures

A Guide to Good Oral Hygiene

A few simple daily habits can make a big difference in your long-term oral health. Here are some essential tips to follow:

  • Brush twice a day using fluoride toothpaste to remove plaque and protect your teeth from decay.

  • Floss daily to clean between teeth and along the gumline where your toothbrush can’t reach.

  • Rinse with an antibacterial mouthwash to reduce bacteria and keep your breath fresh.

  • Watch your diet by limiting sugary and acidic foods that can weaken enamel. Instead, eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and calcium.

  • Avoid tobacco and limit alcohol, as both can increase your risk of gum disease, tooth loss, and oral cancer.

  • See your dentist regularly for check-ups and professional cleanings to catch and treat issues early.

What our patients say

Caravanning from Perth to Darwin and experienced pain in my gums. Although very busy they managed to fit me in and Ingrid took care of my problem for me. What a lovely, professional place. Not only that but they followed up with a call two days later just to make sure I was ok. Full marks to Pelago Dental. Thank you. 🙏

I was extremely happy with the service provided by Dr. Minkyu Kim, paid less for a filling then what I paid in Mandurah. Can highly recommend this Clinic.

These guys are truly awesome! Like me, I think most people find visiting the dentist to be a little bit scary. Not this clinic - they are amazing! Very welcoming and caring. Thank you Dr Kathryn Randall & assistant - you did a fantastic job. No pain and my teeth feel great! 😀

The girls were absolutely amazing. They fit me in for and emergency extraction and I've always had an issue with getting enough anaesthetic but they were already prepared. Definately recommend over the other options in town.
