The dental crown process typically involves two appointments:
During the first visit, the dentist will prepare the tooth by removing any decay and reshaping it to accommodate the crown. If necessary, a filling material may be used to build up the tooth structure. Impressions are then taken to ensure the custom crown fits perfectly with your bite and blends naturally with your surrounding teeth. A temporary crown is placed to protect the prepared tooth while the permanent crown is being crafted in the dental lab.
At the second appointment, the temporary crown is removed, and the new crown is carefully checked for fit, shape, and colour. Once everything is confirmed, the crown is securely cemented in place, restoring the tooth’s strength, function, and natural appearance.

We have reserved the time with our dentists, dental assistants and hygienists, especially for you. We will contact you prior to your scheduled appointment with a courtesy reminder but ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure that you arrive on time for your appointment. We know that life can get in the way and if you need to reschedule, please give us at least one business day’s notice and we will be happy to find a time that better suits you.
